Language
The central genre straight away from the picture you can tell that its a Action game with guns and cars. There are 3 men at the back of a car with 1 man holding the boot and them all staring inside the boot looking at something from my opinion and maybe a lot others will think this too that there is a body inside there. The man holding the boot is wearing a casual top and jeans. On his top you can see sweat stains / marks probably from chasing that person in the boot probably. Next in the crew of men is a guy holding a pistol and his position is the middle. As you could see the guy is clocking his gun ready to AIM and SHOOT probably to the person which was what I was referring to at the start. Last but not least is a another man but in a suit. He is probably the boss of the crew. I say the boss because in most games and movies the boss is always richest. Mostly judging by his suit and the way that most rich people come there hair back. At the bottom right is a picture of the creators logo and also on the bottom left it has the game name.
Institution
GTA V (Grand Theft Auto) was created by rockstar. When the game is released (17th September)
the platform that it will be available on is X BOX 360 and PS3.
Audience
According from the media at the top I can tell that its an 18 rated game containing a lot guns and violence, chaos, explicit words, fighting and from the name I an tell that it has theft. From my point of view I can tell that I think that its a 100% male game because men are more into games with violence and guns but females on the other hand will might like a game with dancing example.
Representation
The image shows that there three males that are criminals. Theirs one black guy and two white men. One of the white men is on the right of the black man and one of his left this probably shows that he is the boss of his mini gang/group of people. As could also see the man holding no pistol is may be the driver for the two men holding the gun because he is the one who opened the boot and he is not the one who is doing the dirty work

ReplyDeleteEBI: You could write some excellent stuff about representation here - all three characters are men, two appear to be non-white. Plenty of gender and race representation points you could make.
LR: Try and add something about representation - does it suggest that men are likely to be involved in crime?
