Read this BBC News article about Candy Crush Saga. Answer the following questions:

  1. How much money is Candy Crush Saga estimated to make each day from its users? Candy Crush is making  £610,000 a day from its user and that's $1,000,000.
  2. How does it make this money? Candy Crush is making there money by add-ons, extra lives, access to higher levels and to advertised other games on there game.
  3. How many people are estimated to have installed Candy Crush? Its estimated that 500 million people have installed the game.
  4. Where do people play? People play the game on tablets, phones and androids
  5. When was the game released? April 2012: Candy Crush released on Facebook then on November 2012: Released for iOS devices and finally December 2012: Launches on Android devices
  6. When did it reach 500 million downloads? Candy Crush was released on November 2013 
  7. Who is the typical Candy Crush gamer? 
  8. What percentage of gamers have spent money on Candy Crush, buying in-app purchases etc.? 25% of the people who play the game buys, in-app purchases, add-ons ect. 
  9. What percentage say they are addicted to the game? 30% of players on Candy Crush admit that they are addicted to the game.
  10. What is your own experience of playing Candy Crush? Have you played it? Yes i have played the game but not much but i didn't pay for any add-ons lives etc. But i was nerved addicted to the song.  


Now read this Daily Mail article about Candy Crush addiction. What does it suggest about the target audience for the game?

The article suggest that there are more females players than males and they play to much of the game, plus it says that we spend a lot of more playing (by that i mean we pay for a lot of add-ons, lives and levels).
